An adult female in breeding plumage found dead locally; the largest, heaviest Long-eared Owl brought into the Wild Art workshop - possibly a European migrant? Described as 'notoriously difficult to locate and observe' (British Birds - John Gooders & Terence Lambert) - UK population estimated between 3,000 and 10,000 pairs.
